I started Transitional Space in 2018, as just a Discord server kind of out of a need to connect with people. To have someone to talk with or have fun with, just to have someone there. Being LGBT+, & especially being trans, it can sometimes be incredibly lonely. Slowly the server grew & I started to think why not marry my work in mental health & athletics with the server & create a community where everyone can feel welcome. Where we can get support, have fun, make friends, feel safe & not judged, and just connect. Working in mental health, I know that health, hope, community, & purpose are major areas that support recovery. If I needed help in those areas, I was sure that others needed help too. With the help of many awesome people, Transitional Space Inc was created.

I’ve been an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community for the majority of my adult life. I’ve always been an advocate for protecting and helping those in disaffected communities. I am a full time fire inspector for a Central Florida fire safety company and have been for the last 10 years. I’ve been a consistent supporter of groups like the ACLU, SPLC, HRC, EFF and several other groups that help protect civil rights. I joined Transitional Space shortly after Ari created the Discord Server back in 2018 and have watched it grow to what it is.
